Well the 2009 World Baseball Classic is now in the history books, and our hats are off to repeat champions Japan for once again having the best baseball team in the world. They played great and came out on top of a field that was much more dangerous that last year. Congratulations to Daisuke Matsuzaka, Ichiro Suzuki and the rest of team Japan. Well whoever got their WBC tickets sure got their money’s worth, as the 2009 WBC featured some great games. WorldBaseballClassictickets.com would also like to extent a well-deserved congratulation to Team Korea for making it to the WBC Finals, beating some excellent baseball teams along the way.

And with the WBC gone for the next four years, our attention now once again goes to the MLB regular season. We doubt that any players are going to be feeling any adverse effects from playing in the WBC, and its going to be a great time to enjoy some cool baseball games. Make sure that you’ve got your MLB tickets to see your favorite team, because the baseball season is going to be fantastic. A number of teams have made some big moves, and now that the MLB season has started we’ll get to see just who is coming out on top. I can’t wait to see what MLB playoff tickets are going to be selling come October.

In the AL East, the most competitive division in sports just got even more so, as the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees now have to content with the Tampa Bay Rays. These are three of the best teams in baseball, so who survives the AL East is anyones guess. Was is not in question is that whoever buys Boston Red Sox Yankees tickets is in for a great day of baseball, and the same goes for Red Sox Rays tickets. These three teams are going to be battling hard all baseball season long, so get your Yankees tickets if you want to see the boys from the Bronx or Rays tickets if you want to see the guys from Tampa Bay.

Over in the NL East, things aren’t much easier. Look for the Mets and Phillies to slug it out, while the rest of the division competes hard. Don’t sleep on Atlanta, because anyone with Braves tickets will tell you this team is tough. Those will be selling well, but likely Mets baseball tickets will sell better. Johan Santana now has a great bullpen behind him and the Metropolitans will be in good shape this year. Also in good shape will be the World Champs. Get your Phillies tickets to see the defending champs do their thing live.

In the NL West, a number of teams are going to be fighting the Chicago Cubs for top of the division. Cubs tickets are going to be selling fast, but I am sure that St. Louis Cardinals tickets are going to be selling just as well. that is a baseball town if there ever was one, so it should be fun to watch. Also fun to watch will be Cincinnati, who have a number of great players. The city is going crazy looking for Reds tickets, so if you are a fan get them ASAP. And even Pittsburgh is looking to sell tons of Pirates tickets, as the team has some good players and are looking like they are finally on the way up.

The AL Central will be another dog-fight, perhaps the toughest division of all to call. The Tigers should be fine, and Tigers ticket holders certainly hope so. They are no joke, but the White Sox are going to be looking sharp as well. Then you’ve got the Minnesota Twins, who always are able to stay atop the field, and sell tons of Twins game tickets in the process. And you can’t forget about Cleveland Indians tickets, because that team has some solid arms and big bats. And the Royals seem to be on the way up as well.

Both the Western Divisions have not been as competitive in recent years, but that looks like it will change this year, especially in the NL. LA is still nuts about Manny Ramirez, and fans have been snatching up Dodgers tickets like they are going out of style. Then the Diamondbacks have one of the most dominant 1-2 punches in pitching, so Diamondbacks tickets are going to be extra-hot. The Giants have two pretty good pitchers of their own in Tim Lincecum and Randy Johnson, so San Francisco is looking hard for San Fran Giants tickets. And the Colorado game Rockies are also looking a lot better two years removed from making to the World Series. And lets not forget about the San Diego Padres, who have a good core and are looking like they could cause a few headaches.

And last but not least, the LA Angels are going to have a much tougher battle if they are planning on coming out on top of the AL West again. Look for a much better Seattle team, Mariners tickets holders are certainly expecting that. And the Oakland Athletics are also looking like they want to play hard, so make sure you don’t pass up a chance at some primo Athletics tickets. And of course the Texas Rangers have all the bats in the world, so if their pitching can step up they should be able to put on a show for Rangers ticket holders everywhere.

All in all this is going to be a great year for MLB baseball, so get out there are root on your team. It doesn’t get much better than baseball tickets for a good time, especially if they are cheap baseball tickets online that you manage to get. Make sure that you don’t miss a minute of the heart-racing MLB action.

Well the US is bruised and battered and lost to Venezuela, but Team USA gets to move onto the WBC Semifinals for a shot at the winner of Pool 1. There was talk about the Baseball Classic not being that meaningful, but there are plenty of folks who have been buying World Baseball Classic tickets so far. And now that we are down to the final best teams, it seems like the excitement is going to get even bigger. If you are in California, or can get there, you’ve got to check out what’s available for WBC tickets because these are some games you don’t want to miss. There is just something special about a baseball team representing an entire country, and you can feel it when you walk into the baseball stadium. Some people say the Baseball Classic doesn’t mean anything, but from watching a game its hard to see how people think that. These players play to win and have been giving their all as they try to win the whole thing. Boston’s Kevin Youkilis has had to leave the team, but he was playing hurt for at least his last game. Don’t pas up a chance at seeing history made and get your WBC tickets as soon as you can because there is still some great international baseball action to be seen in the World Baseball Classic. There are just four teams left in the WBC Semifinals.

The WBC Semifinals will be played on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 at LA’s Dodgers Stadium. This is a fantastic place to enjoy a baseball game, especially when you have some international teams as talented as these. We still don’t know what teams will face who, but we know the four teams that will participate. From Pool 1 we have Japan and Korea, who play Thursday night to decide the seeding. While Japan came out swinging in their first game against Korea, winning 14 – 2, Korea was able to take the second game of Round 1 with a 1 – 0 victory. The teams have already played once in Round 2, when Korea once again beat Japan, this time 4 – 1. From Pool 2 Team USA and Venezuela will play. Venezuela beat Team USA in the last game of round 2 play and will face the runner up of Pool 1.

Team Japan has to be considered a threat to repeat as WBC champs, and they have played well so far. But if Korea has been able to beat them twice out of three times, they need to be considered vulnerable. Then we all know that Team USA has some good players, but they have also seen some injuries. Will they be able to overcome these missing players? You’ll need to get World Baseball Classic tickets to find out.

All in all the World Baseball Classic has been a great time for baseball fans across the world. Don’t miss out on all the fun and get your WBC tickets today! If you are looking for where to buy WBC tickets, we recommend Ticket Liquidator. They still have plenty of seats available and should be the first place you look.

The World Baseball Classic has been a blast so far, and its only been the first round! There have been some great plays this season, and that will only happen more often as we get deeper into the WBC. Anyone that’s gotten WBC tickets can’t complain about baseball action, because there’s been tons of it. Who would have believed that the mighty Dominican Republic, full of so many great major leaguers, would fall to the lowly Netherlands. The only Dutch player with a Major League reputation is Sidney Ponson, but they were able to stun the DR not only once, but twice! All of the World Baseball Classic tickets holders in the stands must have been as stunned at the DR players. It just goes to show you why baseball is such a great game. A few no-name pitchers these mighty DR hitters had never seen where able to do what most Major League pitchers can’t do and shut down some of the best hitter alive.

So far in Pool A, Japan and Korea will be moving on after they handled both China and Chinese Taipei. In the first games of the 2009 World Baseball Classic, Japan beat China 4-0, Korea beat Chinese Taipei 9 – 0, China beat Chinese Taipei 4 – 1. In the second round of games for Pool A, Japan beat Korea 14 – 2, while Korea beat Chine 14 – 0 and then beat Japan 1 – 0. Next up Japan will play the Pool B winner while Korea will play the Pool B runner up.

Over in Pool B South Africa and Australia are out, despite Australia’s stunning 17 – 7 win over Mexico. In the first game of Pool B action, Cuba beat South Africa 8 – 1. Mexico beat South Africa 14 -3, while Cuba beat Australia 5 – 4. Then, in a rematch of the huge loss to Australia, Mexico got its revenge at crushed Australia 16 – 1. It must have been a good sight to see for all those who bought World Baseball Classic tickets and traveled to Mexico’s Foro Stadium to see what was a thrilling game. Mexico and Cuba will play later on tonight to determine who they will face in the second round.

Pool C Canada and Italy are out while Venezuela and the United States move on. The US beat Canada 6 -5 in a close game. Venezuela blanked Italy 7 – 0, the US beat Venezuela 15 – 6, while Italy beat Canada 6 – 2. It a rematch Venezuela beat Italy 10 – 1 and the went on to beat the US 5 – 3. Venezuela will be playing the Netherlands in the first round or Pool 2, while the US will take on Puerto Rico. Those games are taking place at Toronto’s Rogers Center, so if you can get up to the T-Dot hurry up and order your WBC tickets as soon as you can because time is running out.

And in Pool D, in the biggest surprise of the WBC so far, the Netherlands and Puerto Rico will be moving on. By now we’ve all heard that the Netherlands stunned the Dominican Republic not once but twice. In the first game the Netherlands won 3 – 2, while in the second game Netherlands won 2 – 1. it was a disappointing end to the WBC for the DR, but that sometimes happens i baseball. Puerto Rico beat Panama 7 – 0, and Panama again lost when they faced the Dominican Republic by a score of 9 – 0. Puerto Rico was able to beat the Netherlands 3 – 1 in their first game, and then 5 nil in the second game they played.

Here is some video of the Netherlands vs. Puerto Rico:

So that is the results from the World Baseball Classic so far. The teams moving into the second round are Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Venezuela, the United States and Puerto Rico, Cuba and Mexico. The second round of the WBC takes place at San Diego’s Petco Park. Petco Park will host Japan, Korea, Cuba and Mexico. Pool 2 games are being played at Miami’s Dolphin Stadium. Teams visiting sunny Florida are the Netherlands, Venezuela, the U.S. and Puerto Rico. So if Canada is to cold, perhaps you can get some World Baseball Classic tickets and get down to the Sunshine State for some action at Dolphin Stadium.

It has been a great WBC so far with some spectacular upsets. A few players have also made a name for themselves with some great pitching as some great moves on the field. You can tell some of the hitter are a little rusty, but it looks like a lot of the rust has fallen of and now these baseball hitters are starting to get used to seeing live pitching. Get your WBC tickets now and see all the international baseball action that you can handle.
